Weapon X Concepts
Inspired by the (cough) movie, I decided to work on some mock concepts for one of my favorite Wolverine stories: Weapon X. Drawn by Barry Windsor Smith in the late eighties, it is a masterpiece. I wanted to try some new logos and layout styles, updating this classic Marvel story.

This is a mock cover that I digitally color and did the logo recreation and layout. Another of my favorite artists, John Cassaday, is better known for his Dynamite cover and work on Astonishing X-Men - but, this is a killer cover he did for the ol’ webslinger.

This is a mock cover that I digitally colored and did the layout and logo design. I am a fan of George Peréz and had dinner with him in Kansas City years ago. He is extremely cool and still cranking out amazing comics after more than twenty-five years.

This is a mock cover I digitally colored in Painter and Photoshop and did the logo work on. I love Jim Lee’s work on the X-Men, especially run with Chris Claremont around issue #275.
